Cala Comte Ibiza

Cala comte Ibiza

Cala Comte, also known as Cala Conta, is a beautiful beach located on the west coast of Ibiza, which belonging to the municipality of Sant Josep about twenty-four kilometers from Ibiza city and about thirteen from Sant Josep.
With its crystal clear waters, fine white sand and spectacular sunsets, Cala Comte is one of the busiest and most beautiful beaches on the island of Ibiza.

Distribution of Cala Comte.

Cala Comte is distributed over three beaches, the two main ones are the most affordable and easy to find, just follow the path until you reach the motorcycle parking lot and you can see them from there. These two beaches differ in that the first one on the right has more white sand with an extension of about 800 meters which is much more comfortable and wider than the other one on the left facing the sea, which is more rocky and less wide than the first. Both beaches are ideal for swimming and water sports such as diving and snorkeling. They are divided by the Ashram beach bar, one of the most popular on the island.
The other beach in Cala Comte is called Escondida Cove, since it is a bit remote, and cannot be seen with the naked eye when you arrive at the area. Cala Escondida is located as you arrive at the motorcycle parking lot behind you on the left side. You will have to walk a little and go down some stairs that give access to it. In theory it is a nudist beach, where many people enjoy this peculiarity. It is the smallest cove of the three, but with the same beauty of its turquoise waters. In this cove there is also a beach bar where you can eat and drink there, without any problem.

Escondida Cove

If you are one of those who likes to rent sun loungers and umbrellas on the main beach, there is availability to rent them all day, however, in high season you should reserve a day in advance since they are usually in high demand.

It is also a very famous cove because it is usually full of rental boats, which anchor on its coast and enjoy the day surrounded by its spectacular waters. The other option that people do is rent a boat without a license, which you can drive yourself without any type of license and it allows you to get closer to the beach because they are smaller boats. It is an excellent idea if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of people and have more privacy.

Sunset

One of the main attractions of Cala Comte is sunset. The beach is located to the west of Ibiza, which makes it possible to see a sunset over a unique natural landscape. It also overlooks several small islands in the distance, creating a spectacular view when the sun sets. Many tourists gather on the beach at sunset to enjoy the view, take photos and drink a drink with their friends. At the Ashram restaurant There is usually a DJ who will liven up the sunset with music which gives it the necessary touch to make it all 10.

Restaurants

If you can eat in Ashram You can enjoy wonderful views looking at that turquoise water and surrounded by white sand. If you prefer to eat on the beach or in the cove, you should bring something purchased since the nearest supermarket or bar is several km from this cove. I recommend you bring water purchased from home, because the price in the restaurant is 6 euros for a 50cl bottle.
Besides the Ashram, you can also find another restaurant on the main beach with more tables for dinerswhich is famous for its rice dishes. If you want to eat there in high season, you should book a day in advance because of the high demand at this time of year.

Cala Comente's other restaurant is located at Cala Escondida, is the smallest of the three restaurants, It's more of a beach bar than a restaurant, but if you want to have a bite to eat you have to do it. Also, if you want to have a beer to spare, it is the perfect place to do so in this cove.

Definitely, Cala Comte is one of the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza and a must see on your vacation on the island. With its crystal clear waters, beautiful views and nearby restaurants and bars, it is the perfect place to spend a relaxing day on the beach and enjoy the natural beauty of the island.
